Duzi ("we", "our", "the app") is a restaurant alternative finder for NYC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data Duzi collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Location Data

Duzi uses your device's precise location to find restaurants near you. Location data is:

• Used only while the app is in use
• Sent to our servers solely to return nearby restaurant results
• Never stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request
• Never shared with third parties
• Never used for tracking or advertising

You can revoke location access at any time in your device's Settings.

Search History

Your recent restaurant searches are stored locally on your device using standard app storage. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not sent to any server
• Can be cleared within the app at any time
• Is automatically removed when you delete the app

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not require user accounts or sign-in
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not display ads or share data with advertisers
• We do not use cookies or fingerprinting
• We do not collect or process data for AI/ML training purposes

Third-Party Services

Duzi uses the following backend services to operate:

• Google Cloud Platform — hosts our restaurant database and API. Your location coordinates are sent in API requests to return nearby results. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

No other third-party services receive your data.

Data Retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. Restaurant search queries that include location coordinates are processed in real time and not retained after the response is delivered.

Data Deletion

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete. Local search history can be cleared in the app or by deleting the app from your device.

Children's Privacy

Duzi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
